Featured Fix #2
“O’Lay“ - TEENS
This band puts out some of the best energy I’ve ever seen at a live show.
Be sure to catch them (as well as other rad locals) at the Treefort Music Fest this march in Boise!

Featured Fix #1
“Ghostlike” - Shades
Zone out on this rad electronic tune from Boise locals Shades.
And do yourself a favor by keeping an eye out for their new release Clear Motions.
Go see it live on Friday, January 20, at The Linen Bldg. 1402 W. Grove St. W/ Finn Riggins & Atomic Mama
Goal #1
I’m going to try and feature a couple of local artists per week and share some songs and info about them. Should be fun.
Goal #2
Attempting to make a list of numerous local artists, regardless of genre or seniority. Names will be linked to Facebook or SoundCloud-esque pages. Hoping it will be a great way to discover some music you may not have heard yet happening in your own town and perhaps be helpful in contacting/booking.
^This may prove to be a bit tedious, providing my incredible lack of HTML skills.^
But it will get done!
Chances are you already know what goes down and where at around these parts, but if for some reason you were living under a rock or perhaps just awoke from a diabetic coma, here are some of the best places to catch superb live jams around the area (in no particular order).
21+ Crowd

Everybody else
These are just to name a few.
I would personally recommend checking out the house venues more than any other as it is a much more satisfying and intimate musical experience, not to mention it helps support traveling bands who could not get booked, get to their next show.
So…get your ass of the interwebz and go see some fine local artists do their thing.

This is my first attempt at any sort of blog so cut me some slack. I’ve decided to create this page because I believe we have some great music to be heard in the Treasure Valley and they deserve more recognition than they are receiving at this present time. I’ll also be updating you on many upcoming shows and house venues around the area so keep checking back. Thanks for taking the time to scope it.
